Solid materials makes thin air circulation. So the best way to avoid this issue was don’t buy cages with high wall (about 40cm up). Trapped air inside the cages, can raising temperature and make smells. Another issue was bacterial growth if you don’t regularly cleaning the cages.
2. Difficult To Clean
Many of people said this type of cages was difficult to clean because the only way cleaning up are from above. If you have aquarium made of glass, can you imagine how heavy it is when you fill with the water? And it’s easier to crack.
